This goes much further than just a logo design, although of course that is a vital part. A brand identity goes beyond this by describing the ‘personality’ of your company though visual elements, written language and its relationship with its customers and other brand leaders.
The logo will be the seed to the brand identity and should go a long way to giving the customer the clues as what to expect from it. To create a strong brand identity you will need to look at slogans, music, video, presentation, people skills, language tone, symbols and styles associated with your company.
Below I will give some examples of logos created, then move on to what was done to expand the brand identity of the company into the users psyche.
Brand Identity for Eureka Learning
The website I created draws upon the theme of nature and the human impact upon it. This message here is a metaphor of the purity of the mind and how it can be expanded to achieve great things.
The home page features a train track, like a train of thought, moving forwards with messages fading in and out as thoughts. The green of the logo is used, but in a darker complementary shade, this is easier on the eye but also adds sophistication to the brand.
Brand Identity for David Thompson
As a small business, the aspects here were to merge the personal touch with a high professionalism. The David in handwritten font gives rise to that, it is the values of an individual handyman that they will get, but the slick thin contemporary font signify a ‘job well done’ with efficiency and grace. The colour signatures are homely, and fit with the red brick and green lawn of a suburban home.
Brand Identity for Bubbas Restaurant
The feel of quality, silver service, high standards but still with the warmth and care of a smaller restaurant. The typeface is both classical and friendly, and the wooden background gives an authentic, natural feel. This style is taken through the website, where stunning photography presented large across the screen oozes the craftsmanship and care of the chefs working there.
